ABOUT REBECCA
Writing a bio was something that did not come natural to me. So I asked friends and family to best describe my work and me. Fortunately it was all good and words used to describe me were: warm, easy going, energetic and fun.
My love of photography began at school and followed through to college. After graduation from DunLaoghaire College of Art and Design Dublin, I entered the world of television commercial and documentary production. As a freelancer I was able to alternate between the two areas of production that I enjoyed so much: set/prop styling and production managing.
Ultimately I steered towards the business side and became a producer. During my ten years of on set experience, I witnessed the lighting techniques of some of the worlds most renowned cinematographers.
Leaving production to start a family was an easy decision for me. Having my own children opened up new photographic adventures and I found myself with a renewed passion to study the craft.
My goal is to capture beautiful, natural, and fun images of children. I take a candid approach that encourages children to be themselves . My own sense of humour, flexibility and patience allows me to capture just the right moments to make those perfect photographs.
Recently my passion for photography and design has led me to work with a number of my clients to create photo albums and coffee table books using their personal photo collections.
While many of us have thousands of photographs scattered across our phones, laptops or hidden away in boxes, it can be hard to know what to do with them, and so many run the risk of being lost.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than to breath new life into these collections, working with families to create beautiful albums that safeguard their precious photos and ensure they are enjoyed for years to come.
